Who we are

The Pour House Candle Bar & Lounge (“The Pour House,” “we,” “us”) operates at 11 W. Main St., Frostburg, Maryland 21532, inside the historic Hotel Gunter, and online at pourhousecandlebar.com. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to aj@pourhousecandlebar.com.

What we collect

We collect only what running the business requires: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and the details of your orders, gift cards, reservations, and event requests. If you join our email list we keep your email address. Payment card numbers never touch our servers; payments are processed by Stripe, whose handling of your card is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.

How we use it

We use your information to fulfill and ship orders, send receipts and shipping updates, deliver and redeem gift cards, respond to reservations and event requests, and, if you have opted in, send you our newsletter and occasional announcements. We use order history to run the shop — restocking, bookkeeping, and making the next visit better.

Text messages (SMS)

If you provide your phone number and opt in to text messages, we will use it to send you order updates, reservation confirmations, and occasional Pour House news. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Phone numbers collected for SMS consent are never shared with, or sold to, third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We share it only with the services that make the shop run, and only as much as each needs: Stripe (payments and order records), Resend (transactional and newsletter email), our shipping providers (name and address, to print your label and move your package), and our technology partner, Thraxel Enterprise Solutions, which operates these systems on our behalf under this policy.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Gift card records are kept until the card is fully spent, and for a reasonable period after for bookkeeping.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with one click in any email or by replying “unsubscribe.” You can opt out of texts by replying STOP. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what the law does not require us to keep — email aj@pourhousecandlebar.com and a person will handle it.

Cookies & analytics

The site uses a small number of functional cookies — your cart, and sign-ins to gated pages. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Children

Our site and store are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and meaningful changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means the new policy applies.
