Terms of Service

The short version

Be a good guest, and we’ll be a good host. Orders are between you and The Pour House Candle Bar & Lounge, 11 W. Main St., Frostburg, MD 21532. Reach us any time at aj@pourhousecandlebar.com.

Orders & payment

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and can change without notice; the price at checkout is the price. Payments are processed by Stripe. We may cancel and refund any order we can’t fulfill — a mispriced item, a stock error, or anything that smells wrong — and we’ll tell you if we do. Sales tax and shipping are calculated at checkout.

Shipping

We ship within the United States from Main Street. Tracking is emailed when your label prints. Once a package is in the carrier’s hands, delivery timing is theirs; if something arrives broken or never arrives, email us and we will make it right.

All sales are final

Candles are hand-poured, so small variations are the point, not a defect. We do not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds. The one exception is damage in transit: if your order arrives damaged, email aj@pourhousecandlebar.com with photos within 24 hours of the carrier’s recorded delivery and we will review your damage request. Requests made after that window, for any reason, cannot be honored.

Gift cards

Gift cards are delivered by email as a 10-digit code, are associated with the purchaser’s email address, never expire, carry no fees, and are redeemable online and in the lounge. Online redemption is verified by a one-time code sent to the purchase email. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where the law requires, and can’t be used to buy other gift cards. Treat the code like cash — we can’t restore credit spent by someone you shared it with.

Reservations, events & the date hold

Private event requests are just that — requests — until we confirm a date with you. The $100 date hold is placed only after confirmation and is applied to your final bill. Holds are transferable to a new date with reasonable notice; abandoning a confirmed date may forfeit the hold.

In the lounge

Alcohol is served only to guests 21 and over with valid ID, and we may decline service at our discretion. Hot wax, open flames, and cocktails reward attention; you participate in candle-making at your own care, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

The site

The words, images, marks, and design of pourhousecandlebar.com belong to The Pour House or its licensors — enjoy them here, don’t reuse them commercially without asking. We work to keep the site accurate and available but provide it “as is,” without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to the site or an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Privacy

How we handle your information — including email and text-message consent — is covered by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, and disputes belong to the state or federal courts covering Allegany County, Maryland.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above moves when we do. Orders are governed by the terms in effect when you place them.
